Abstract

What if the very same scourge suffocating the Caribbean shorelines could be transformed into something that brings relief? This was the hypothesis that led Gennike Mayers and Donna-Lisa Phillips to begin experimenting with sargassum harvested on the Eastern seaboard of Tobago. From their kitchens, these two friends formulated sargassum-based skincare products that restore moisture, repair and rejuvenate the skin.
