Abstract
Data from the fishing season of 1966 is analyzed using FISAT (FAO, 1996) The results obtained are: 1:1 male-female relationship; Loo = 24.1 cm; K = 1.5 (annual). The instantaneous rate of natural mortality M= 2.48. Total mortality Z = 7.46. The selection pattern L25 = 9.4 cm; L50 = 10.45 cm y L75 = 11.4 cm. Results from the Beverton y Holt model show that fishing effort should be decreased, the actual fishing intensity surpasses maximum yield.
