Abstract
The Government of the US Virgin Islands recently established its first territorial marine protected area, the East End Marine Park (EEMP) on St. Croix. The development and management of this park has been a collaborative effort by a number of partner agencies. The Ocean Conservancy currently is compiling historical data sets relevant to the management of the natural resources within the EEMP. We will discuss challenges encountered when comparing research projects with different site locations and methodologies, and make recommendations on how to address some of these issues.
