Thereby contributing to sustainable fisheries. The reefs are highly diverse ecosystems, rich in natural resources and of great ecological, economic and social importance, home of important fish stocks and contributing to the livelihood of many traditional coastal communities that support their activities in the vast empirical knowledge, acquired and accumulated through several generations.
