Abstract
The Charal’s fishery in Seybaplaya, Campeche Mexico, it is composed by several species but Anchoa hepsetus is dominates. The objective in this study was to know some particularities of the reproductive cycle of this specie. Striped anchovy differentiates sexually at 28mm Total length (TL) in males and 30 mm in females. The proportion between sexes were 1.2 male for each female. The minimal size at the sexual maturity is 43 mm and 48 mm LT to male and female. The reproductive season is extended throughout the year, with one peak during April, May and June. Oocytes development is asynchronic and spawning is multiportional. Six phases scale is used for Gonadal Maturity. The higher fecundity was to 5738 eggs in one female to 105 mm LT.
