Abstract
During the compiled information of Antillana S.A company, and the project “Programa de Ordenación, Manejo y Conservación de los Recursos Pesqueros en la Reserva de Biosfera Seaflower, Archipiélago de San Andrés, Providencia y Santa Catalina, Caribe Colombiano”; a temporal analysis for eight years (1996-2003) was done in five species of fishes (Coryphanea hippurus-Dolphin, Elagatis bipinnulata-Ocean yellow tail, Haemulon album-Margate, Ocyurus chrysurus-Yellow tail y Sphyraena barracuda-Barracuda) recognized in the landings process from industrial fishery of San Andrés Archipelago. O. chrysurus showed the highest average of landings during eight years with 10,079 kg. S. barracuda, E. bipinnulata, H. album and C. hippurus presented 4,912 kg., 1,208 kg., 1,156 kg. and 412 kg., respectively. During the analyzed time O. chrysurus, S. barracuda and E. bipinnulata illustrated the highest values for the first years; C. Hippurus exhibited a regular behavior through out the study, and finally H. Album increased its values in last years. The results of the present study is no a real description of the resource, however, this is the first analysis done in San Andres Archipielago at the species level and for a significant period of time that gives an idea about the behavior of landings between years and months.
