Abstract
Egg masses, growth and survival were evaluated for juveniles of Pomacea flagellata under laboratory conditions during 30 days. The egg masses were obtained in Arroyo Polo Tabasco, México. Incubation and culture temperatures were 29 ± 1°C. The juveniles were reared at a density of 100 organisms per aquarium of 40 liter. Juveniles were fed with chaya (Cnidoscolus aconitifolius) at 14% of your biomass in a single ration. Total number of juveniles hatched was calculated. Hatching occurs between 14 or 16 days after ovoposition. Average number egg per mass was 318. Hatching rate per egg mass was 90%. Averages growth rate in shell length and weigth were 0.066 mm and 1.7 mg per day, respectively. Survival rate was 21 %.
