Abstract

The Red Tide is a spontaneous and natural phenomenon characterized by an increase of the concentration of certain plant-like organisms components of the Plankton. Under certain environmental conditions an increase of organisms is produced especially of dinoflagellates and diatoms, what is known like flowerings algales or "algal bloom". The red tide is presented in certain times of year, but mainly in summer in the state of Yucatan and in recent years to enlarged its frequency. For which, the object of this study was to decide to the responsible micro-algae of the red tide and to relate its presence with the parameters: physiochemical, biological and oceanographic during two months from each summer from 2004-2006. For which, through a network of stations understood between Chuburna and Dzilam of Brave, along the coast of Yucatan, a monitoring was carried out The samples collected were analyzed in the laboratories of Aprovechamiento of Marine Resources of the Technological Institute and of the Station of Oceanographic Investigation of the SEMAR. Two phases were carried out, the first one, I cover the analysis of the phytoplankton through a phases contrast microscope, for the identification taxonómica of the micro-algae. The second phase consisted of knowing the chemistry of the water, by means of the utilization of the technical Photocolorimetric for decision of composed nitrogenous. Species were identified of dinoflagellates and diatoms associated to flowerings algales of red tide. The levels of concentration of composed nitrogenous were considered inside the normal rank according to the limits of reference for water of primary contact. The densities of cells of each species were presented lower al limit of reference of the NOM-005-SSA1-2001. For which it is concluded that during the years 2004-2006 not the presence of the red tide in the coasts was detected of the state of Yucatan
